I freaking adore Common Ground. From the vibe to the coffee! The staff is always so friendly & the cold brew I've had is delicious. I make sure to stop here every time I am headed to Kansas City from Dallas.
Drinks/food: I love that they have a "drink suggestions" jar in case you're wanting to try something new or, you're in for the first time and can't decide on something. They brew local coffee from other Kansas City spots too & there are a variety of pastries as well.
The atmosphere: very "open mic" / cozy book store type. There is always somewhere to sit, from tables to couches. -

Love common ground so much!!! My personal favorite is always an iced coffee. They also have a thing where you can receive points and you can get discounts when you get so many points and I think its 100 points for a discount. They also have AMAZING food! Anything from sandwiches to cookies and muffins! Pretty cheap cookies also but soooo good!!! They serve teas along with smoothies as well! Comfortable seating, and an overall chill atmosphere.

Is "rustic industrial loft" a thing?
This quirky and friendly coffee shop is a welcome find in the sleepy brick-cobbled town of Fort Scott Kansas. My cappuccino is smooth, frothy and in a perfect hand warming ceramic vessel, as I'm being swallowed by an oversized leather chair listening to families converse and soft melancholy singer songwriters fill the expansive yet cozy space. -

Fantastic coffee selection, wonderful staff. Only complaint is the food. The grilled cheese is 2 pieces of dry toast with a piece of cheese on it that relies of the warmth of the already made toast to melt it. It doesn't melt, just gets kind of greasy.

Nice downtown historic Main Street coffee house with comfy couches to work or just hang out. My Latte was excellent and the home baked cupcakes they just made were very tasty!
Glad to see this in Ft Scott. I'll stop in whenever I am in the area doing business
